Jet Tec targets the consumer in first ever consumables TV ad campaign
Jet Tec, the Lincolnshire (UK) manufacturer of compatible inkjet cartridges, is launching its first ever consumer advertising campaign on mainstream TV.
The ad is designed to target the growing demand for home printing, and communicate the efficacy and quality of the inks Jet Tec manufactures. Using a clever story involving a young girl’s lost dog, it demonstrates how ink has become a distress purchase product and with the wide availability of Jet Tec ink at both high street stores and Jet Tec Official Retailers, leads to the return of her beloved pet.
Jet Tec has moved into this wholly new market medium due to increasing consumer demand. Comments William Studholme, commercial manager, “Once simply a staple of every office, inkjet printers now dominate at home as well, with over 70% of households owning inkjet printers. This is reflected in the amount of desktop printers being advertised on TV these days. No consumables company targets the end user in this unique way, so we decided to break the mould and communicate the need for quality inks to our consumers”.
The campaign will commence in 1st February on ITV. The advert will be broadcast across a number of peak and off peak slots, amongst many popular programmes including Coronation Street, Emmerdale and the Bill. It will be supported with a proactive PR campaign playing on the theme of the lost dog while communicating the quality of the inks.
