Readers respond to new HP advert

In regards to the HP used food advert:

“I don’t think we should question HP’s dedication to recycling, they have changed a lot within the last few years and are becoming more eco friendly, more so than some remanufacturers. To think we are more righteous than our counter part because we re-use a product is pretty vain in our part. HP does recycle just in a different manner. Either way you look at it, both the remanufacturers and HP produce waste and provide consumables that need electricity to work and use paper that may or may not get recycled by the consumer. The fact that HP compared our product to waste food is not insulting but, rather funny, if looked at in the right light. When I read it, I think HP just insulted the consumer’s ability to choose what’s right for them, in comparing buying consumable products to garbage picking, So that tells me, since our industry is growing in leaps and bounds, the consumer would rather pick used food from the garbage to eat than eat the original food provided by the Great HP.”
