Ecoprint moves to St Petersburg

Apr 19, 2007

The Russian remanufactures trade exhibition, ECOPRINT, will be held in St. Petersburg 29th – 30th May. The event organisers APRM, a union of major firms in the Russian remanufacturing industry, established the event three years ago – dedicated to raising standards and professionalism in this developing market, the exhibition has proved to become the essential resource for information and contacts in the fast-moving Eurasia markets.

The Recycler magazine reported the inaugural meeting back in 2005, when over 40 worldwide companies attended, hosting over a thousand guests at the then Moscow venue. This year, following two years in the business heartland of Russia; the organisers have moved the event to the popular cultural and heritage centre, Saint Petersburg.

Previously, corporate clients for modern technology, consumable products, and supplies were presented with offerings from several large international companies including FUJI, KATUN, and HANP. In addition, leading experts from Russian and foreign companies participated in many seminars and presentations, extolling the competitive advantages of using high quality components in modern manufacturing environments using proven production and quality assurance techniques.

This year, the exhibition will again focus primarily on the technical and logistical aspects of production; considering in-depth the supply and service systems, the health and safety issues and how to prepare for new legislation governing the workplace, and how to meet the demands for greater efficiency within an ever-changing environment.

The exhibition programme will include round table discussions, seminars, training and master-classes, conferences and presentations. With greater awareness of the benefits of recycling for the environment, the organisers are expecting many senior people from the St.Petersburg city administration along with the mass media to attend. Gathering momentum for a cleaner and healthier environment the city of St Petersburg has become the major voice for change – companies that show a willingness to move toward environmentally friendly production processes, and those that produce safe and high quality products are being highly rewarded for their commitment both politically and commercially in the Russian Federation.
