Ninestar launches leukaemia fund

Ninestar Zhuhai, together with China Red Cross Foundation (CRCF), has founded Ninestar Angel Love Fund, which is the first fund in China sponsored by an enterprise aiming to provide donations to save children with leukaemia.  

Ninestar Angel Love Fund will be formally announced globally by the end of this month. The funds will be managed by Ninestar and CRCF together, and will go to leukaemia kids who live in poor families. The committee of Ninestar Fund will visit the sick kids and their families to hear about their difficulties and help them. The first committee members of Ninestar Fund have visited the leukaemia kids in China Capital Institute of Paediatrics, Children’s Hospital.

As a leading company of the print consumables industry, Ninestar has donated a large amount of money to CRCF and founded the Ninestar Angel Love Fund, which it believes is the embodiment of high social responsibility. Ninestar will appeal to more international peers to contribute to the charity project and help the leukaemia kids in China. The idea behind the foundation of the Ninestar Angel Love Fund is not merely limited to donations, but to highlight the plight of the leukaemia kids.

As environmental pollution increases, there are more and more leukaemia patients in China. It is reported that there are at least 4,000,000 leukaemia patients in China, half of which are kids, and this number increases at the rate of 30,000 to 40,000 per year. Lots of poor families cannot afford the heavy medical expenses and have to give up treatment.  

It is said that Ninestar will mark “donation” on specific products with the words indicating that “When you purchase a specific G&G product, you are donating love to the leukaemia kids in China”.

The general manager of Ninestar said “The profit of company comes from society and should return the society at end, which is the relation between water and ship”. Ninestar products are sold to more than 60 countries in the world, sales performance rises year by year. 

Aside from the hereditary factor, environmental pollution is a key factor which leads to increasing leukaemia in kids.
