Indian association formed

Jul 27, 2007

The first association in India, The Indian Cartridge Re-fillers and Re-manufacturers Association (ICRRA), has just been formed in Bangalore.

Deepak Jalihal, Secretary of ICRRA told Recycler “The objective of the association would be to position the Indian Cartridge Remanufacturing Industry as a quality brand. The industry in India is very disorganised and lacks direction, the required inputs for quality and organised manufacturing. We intend to educate the remanufacturers through training programmes. We intend to change the opinion of the people, firstly in India and the rest of the world about the remanufactured cartridges.”

The association’s website is www.icrra.com . The ICRRA executive committee meets every second Saturday at the Association office, at 4.30 p.m.The newly formed associations welcome all industry members and encourages everyone to get involved in any way they can.

The official launch will take place on the 28th of July 2007 at the Karnataka State Hockey Association (Hockey Club), Rhenius Street, Langford Town, Bangalore – 560025.

The launch will inform the media about the formation and the purpose of the Association. It will also give an opportunity for everyone to interact and get to know each other.   It will also give you an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with Mr. Prashanth Makam, who is launching “Recharge India” – the first trade magazine dedicated to this industry. Recharge India is a 140 page magazine with 70 pages of content and 70 pages of advertising matter. Recharge India has made an offer to carry an advertisement of all the ICRRA members for three months free of cost.
