Ink Solution launches franchise programme

Aug 16, 2007

Ink Solution is now providing the opportunity to entrepreneurs to franchise their own inkjet and toner cartridge recycling business. Ink Solution claims to be the first to offer a franchise providing both cartridge refilling services and postal services.

According to Daniel Cavalcanti, president of Ink Solution, those who enter this emerging market through an Ink Solution franchise quickly learn that recycled cartridges provide convenience and cost-savings without sacrificing quality compared to the original.

“We offer support to our franchise owners through extensive training on the proper techniques for refilling a cartridge and a state-of-the-art refilling machine capable of refilling any brand of cartridge in black and colour,” Cavalcanti said.

The machines are proven, he says, having already been sold to more than 2000 businesses in 35 countries. Ink Solution was founded in Florida in 2001. In June 2006, Ink Solution opened the new Head Quarters in Charlotte, NC. The new 12,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility is also home of the Ink Solution University; where the company offers training for inkjet and toner cartridge recycling.

After opening 18 stores in 12 US states, the founders decided to launch a franchise program. They envision that an Ink Solution franchise would become a one-stop shop for all inkjet and toner cartridge recycling needs.

Stores that offer cartridge refilling and postal services will operate under the name Ink Solution & Postal. The first location with both services will open in Charlotte in October.

The manufacture and sale of cartridges constitutes a $13 billion a year industry in the U. S. alone.

So many cartridges are being sold today that their disposal has become a front-burner environmental issue, leading innovative companies into the new business of recycling cartridges to preserve raw materials, prevent clogging of land fills and save money for the consumer.
