New India group holds first event

The newly formed Cartridge Recyclers and Traders Association of India organised an event in Mumbai on 3rd November, which was attended by over 100 business representatives. Attendees came from as far away as New Delhi, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Pune, Goa and Surat, as well as Fort Mumbai, the key business area of the industry.

Shashank Ruiwale, Chairman of the association, spoke about industry trends and growth patterns. He clarified the objectives of the association and called on all those present to be part of the association. Secretary Naveen Pansari presented the roadmap of the association’s future plans and programmes, which included an STMC quality initiative.

Ganesh Iyer of the Mumbai High Court made a detailed presentation on trademarks, patents and Intellectual Property rights. He explained the need to be well informed in the matters of IP and how the association can be used as an industry platform to help its members face giant multinationals. It was an informative and interactive session, during which Mr Iyer answered queries from various members.

Mr Praful Ruiwale of Track Engineers gave a presentation on the ‘Importance of Vacuum Technology for filling Inkjet Cartridges’ and Nikhil Dubaria of Appoge Enterprises held a remanufacturing workshop for HP 2600 laser toner cartridges, which was helpful to many attendees from Fort Mumbai as well as from Nagpur, Pune and Goa.

The event provided commercial as well as technical insight and was well received by those who attended.
