Redeem Plc has appointed Paul Gauntlett as Director of Development. The new role, created especially for him, is intended to demonstrate the strategic importance Redeem is placing on its charitable and campaigning activity in the future growth of the business.
Gauntlett, who undertook his role on 3 November, has a long and highly respected career consulting and implementing major fundraising and PR campaigns across the charitable, private and public sectors. He joins Redeem from The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation where he was Director of Development, playing a major role in positioning it as the market leader in lung cancer research, patient support and tobacco control.
Paul’s appointment is part of Redeem’s wider business strategy to grow its experience and offering in the environmental and charitable sectors. His specialist expertise will be utilised to harness and improve the existing relationships and services provided to charitable and public sector organisations through doubling efforts to encourage the recycling of mobile phones. He will also be responsible for developing new initiatives to raise Redeem’s business’ charitable and environmental offering as a key priority.

Before joining Redeem, Paul has worked for nearly 20 years in the charitable sector, heavily involved in a major CSR project for O2, as well as National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and the Samaritans, and various other roles across the public sector.
