Eco Service operates in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Every year it collects almost 2.5 million empty toner and ink cartridges from the market. In 2009 the company intends to double this number thanks to the acquisition of a controlling interest in the German company TBG.
TBG is an empty cartridge broker that operates across Europe. Since its establishment in 1993, it has been serving the empty cartridge market. “The purpose of the Eco Service-TBG merger is to increase their empty cartridge turnover. Currently both companies see an average turnover of more than 300,000 empty cartridges monthly. We hope that in 2009 this number will exceed half a million units a month as for one of the organizations, which will mean reaching 6 million units per year” says Marcin Adamski, CEO of Eco Service.
The merged Eco Service and TBG plan to expand their presence worldwide, particularly in Europe, China and the USA. According to CEO Adamski, the services delivered by the companies will maintain their high standard. “Over the last two years the average rate of return of products delivered by Eco Service, as reported by the recipients, has not exceeded two per cent, which is a significant result for the line of business. We intend to maintain it, even given the increased scale of our operations” says Marcin Adamski. “Furthermore, we are going to enhance the efficiency of handling orders for the most sought-after empty cartridge models (the so-called Hot Models)” he adds.
Eco Service and TBG are going to combine their logistics and operate through the common logistics centre of the entire Black Point Group based in the Polish Eco Service headquarters (Bielany Wroc?awskie near Wroc?aw). The surface area of the centre is almost 2.5 thousand square metres, and its capacity is over 7.6 thousand cubic metres. Apart from that, TBG’s sales office, located in Herne, Germany, serves Western European clients. All clients of the company altogether are served by a nine person team of salespeople assigned to particular world markets.
Eco Service and TBG companies, together with other Polish firms: BLACK POINT S.A., exploitation materials manufacturer and EKO MAR company, operating in the plastics sorting and recycling market, constitute BLACK POINT capital group, headquartered in Poland.
