The American product has been marketed throughout 2009 in North America. SoyPrint’s Vice President, Richard Greenlaw made the announcement as he explained the next generation of SoyPrint enables the brand to be licensed in any country.
Greenlaw reported licenses for some European countries have already been granted, permitting the holder to manufacture SoyPrint laser toner cartridges next year. Greenlaw went on to say he is receiving calls and emails daily from various countries.
He said there will be no more than one license holder per country and that the toner will be manufactured in the United States. Several hundred millions laser cartridges are sold annually worldwide, according to Greenlaw. He said most current cartridges contain toner derived from petroleum.
SoyJet also introduced
According to Greenlaw, soy ink for commercial printing has been in use for several years but SoyPrint is the first company to provide a version for use in manufacturing inkjet cartridges. Well over a billion inkjet cartridges are used worldwide each year:, according to Greenlaw. He said the new soy based inkjet ink, to be trademarked SoyJet, will use soybean oil in place of petroleum. SoyJet licenses are being sold worldwide, according to Greenlaw, including North America.
