Paperworld China has been brought forward two months to maximise holiday season trade opportunities, according to Messe Frankfurt. The 2010 event will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 15 – 17 September.
Evan Sha, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt Shanghai Co Ltd, noting the change of date said, “This is the ideal occasion to boost year-end sales, as exhibitors are provided with even more opportunities to meet with domestic and international buyers. Plus, it’s also a good time to get together with new and existing customers prior to Paperworld in Frankfurt.”
Sha went on to add, “Following the completion of the 2009 show, a quarter of our exhibitors immediately signed up to participate in the 2010 event. To date, over 130 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions including China, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom and USA will showcase a wide variety of items including office automation products, office supplies, office accessories, writing instruments, paper and paper products, school supplies, stationery gift items, artists’ requisites and creative materials.”
Looking forward to new business opportunities, Zhong Fenqiang, President of Guangzhou Yangguang Comet Electronics & Technology Co Ltd is eager to participate in the 2010 event. “I believe the change of show date will take full advantage of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China, attracting even more international exhibitors and trade buyers.”
The 2009 edition of Paperworld China was vibrant and varied – 516 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions showcased their innovative product lines across a display area of 36,000sqm. Visitor attendance was up three percent from 2008, which given the financial climate was encouraging. Moreover, signifying the growing importance and appeal of the show as a global platform for stationery and office supplies, international visitor attendance was up a massive 24 percent over the same period.
Taiwan Association of Stationery Industries continues to support Taiwanese pavilion
Paperworld China is the largest industry-specific trade show in the region, providing an international trading platform for brand names wanting to enter lucrative stationery and office supplies markets. Recognising this, the Taiwan Association of Stationery Industries continues to support the Taiwanese pavilion at the 2010 event.
“Paperworld China provides a trade environment that is dedicated to the stationery and office supplies markets of China, the Asian Pacific region and beyond. We have been supporting the Taiwanese pavilion at Paperworld China since it’s debut in 2005. We believe it is a great opportunity for Taiwanese manufacturers and suppliers of stationery and office supplies to present their product lines to a growing pool of domestic and international buyers, and will be encouraging their participation at the 2010 event,” added Peter Lee, President of the Taiwan Association of Stationery Industries.
Paperworld China is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, China Chamber of Commerce for I/E of Light Industrial Products & Arts-crafts and Guangzhou Foreign Trade South China Exhibition Corp Ltd.
