One of the largest remanufacturers has launched a new initiative directed at UK businesses to help them save money on printing, as sales continue to grow.
Cartridge World Business Direct aims to send printing experts to businesses free of charge to thoroughly assess printer requirements.
The service will also offer an ongoing free delivery service so that offices have the correct cartridges when they need them. This will avoid businesses having to tie up valuable resources in holding stock, according to Cartridge World UK.
General Manager Mark Holland claims that independent research shows that the biggest complaint offices have against their printers and all-in-ones is the cost of consumables.
According to the company, while hardware prices typically continue to fall, the cost of printer cartridges continues to rise. In 2009 there was a rise of almost 40 percent on the cost of printer manufacturers’ cartridges.
He said: “We feel that the launch Cartridge World Business Direct is a very timely solution which will help businesses of all sizes to overcome such steep and rising costs.
“In 2009 Cartridge World saved its UK business customers an estimated £15 million and with our growing network of franchise stores now offering the new Business Direct service across the country we are ideally placed to help more businesses realize substantial savings.”
Cartridge World reported national like for like sales for the last quarter of 2009 up 11.5 percent compared to the previous year.
