Xerox to provide Fiat with MPS

Mar 29, 2010

Xerox has signed a five-year managed print services agreement with Fiat to help reduce operational costs by an estimated 30 percent.

According to Xerox, Fiat will use MPS to better manage its company-wide print spend and drive cost out of its global IT infrastructure. This will help Fiat operate more efficiently by consolidating the number of output devices and redirecting print jobs to the most cost-effective machine.

The company will also use tools such as Xerox’s sustainability calculator to support its commitment to environmental sustainability and reduce energy use by 50 percent.

“MPS delivers results that can have a positive and direct impact on a corporation’s bottom line. Our global delivery capabilities and MPS market leadership position mean we can quickly transform the way business is done and build a sustainable infrastructure for the future,” said Stephen Cronin, president, Xerox Global Services.

A report by Quocirca suggests that companies worldwide are increasingly adopting MPS to uncover new ways to save money. Nearly 70 percent of businesses surveyed view printing as a strategic priority.
