Canon settles patent lawsuit with Densigraphix

The lawsuit was filed on 12 January against Densigraphix Inc and Densigraphix Kopi Inc, and resulted in an injunction that prohibits the sale of the items. Densigraphix announced on 16 March that they have discontinued the manufacture and sale in the US of: SKU #’s CAGT657-U, CAGT658-U, CAGT672, CAGT674 and CAGT676 toner bottle products.

These had previously been marketed for use with Canon imageRUNNER copies including: including 2230; 2270; 2830; 2870; 3025; 3030; 3225; 3230; 3035; 3045; 3235; 3245; 3530; 3570; 4570; 5070; 5570; 6570; 7086; 7095; 7105; 5050; 5055; 5065; and 5075.

In press releases in April 2009 Densigraphix said they believed they were the first company to market an aftermarket cartridge for the imageRUNNER 5065 in North America and expressed dedication to producing 100% new-build, non-patent infringing products with the Densigraphix Product Warranty.
