Managed print service consultants Photizo Group will be hosting a webinar presenting an overview of the first of their research and testing on MPS software tools.
The one-hour webinar, ‘Software Tools: Discovery and Assessment” presents their findings on 22 software tools, and aims to give IT administrators and OEMs the knowledge to compare the benefits of different resources. The study involved several leading suppliers, including Canon, FMAudit, IKON, Newfield IT, Netaphor, MWA Intelligence, Print Audit and PrintFleet.
Photizo Group CEO Ed Crowley said: “The professional testing and evaluation provide end users and dealers with specific information that would be difficult for them to acquire on their own.
“As a result, they save time searching for the right tool, and can more quickly and accurately identify the MPS software solutions that will best meet their needs. There is no other source in the MPS market that gathers all this data in one place.”
The research recreated the end-user experience of an IT administrator in a lab setting using a server, client computers, multiple output devices including multifunction peripherals, and networked and locally attached printers.
Scott Hornbuckle, project manager for the reports, said: “Our goal was to test the products in an environment which would replicate the customer’s environment as closely as possible.
“The combination of a rigorous assessment methodology and real world testing creates a unique assessment of managed print services tools that will greatly benefit anyone searching for specific resources and capabilities.”
Two more studies will also be released, covering asset and document management tools.
The webinar for the first part will be broadcast on 21 April at 11am EST, and can be purchased by clicking here.
