APS manufactures Organic Photoconductor (OPC) drums for use in laser toner cartridges, and produces more than 80 models across leading brands. Previously Print-Rite had relied on third parties for its OPC drums, but will now have direct control.
“Following this acquisition, Print-Rite shall be the only printing consumables manufacturer who possesses the production capabilities of all major components and parts in laser toner cartridges,” said Print-Rite.
“This transaction brings a whole new competitive edge to Print-Rite as it is now able to have control of the complete production process of laser toner cartridges.”
APS ‘s production facilities are currently being relocated to a new, larger site anticipating expanded R&D capabilities and upgraded technology.
Print-Rite has also said it will be continuing to work with Elektrofotografie.
