Executive Vice President of Supply Chain and IT Kevin Peters will take over Rubin’s role who had been at the company for four years.
An SEC filing shows that Office Depot said Rubin had handed in his notice on 15 April and his employment will end 23 April. He is moving to American beauty retailer Ulta, becoming its new President and CEO from 10 May.
Peters has a strong background in supply chain and merchandising, working at industrial supplier WW Grainger for five years and at retailer Home Depot for 11 years. He has been at Office Depot since 2007.
Chairman and CEO Steve Odland said: “We are extremely pleased that Kevin Peters will be leading our North American Retail business. Kevin has broad experience in operations and management, and he will provide continuity to the excellent team we have in place.”
He added: “Chuck made significant contributions to our retail organization in North America. He has been instrumental in building a strong team and driving the strategic vision for our retail business.”
