InkCycle initiative helps ad agency avoid landfill waste

Barkley says that its initiatives have resulted in “decreased waste, increased recycled items and an overall reduction in energy consumption”. It intends to continue these green practices.

Kelly Francis, Technology Liaison Director at Barkley, said that the agency has sponsored four Green Solutions Electronic Waste Drives, reduced waste by recycling, introduced eco-friendly products and began incorporating daily operational energy-saving tactics into the workplace.

“We gave our employees reusable shopping totes and encouraged employees to print fewer e-mails, print on both sides of the paper, minimize color printing when possible and use recycled ink cartridges,” said Francis.
