XPS relocates manufacturing to Europe

Jun 10, 2010

The company said that after reviewing its strategy, XPS realized the move would bring “a regional focus and value added services” for customers.

XPS will still have a presence in China, serving its Xytech clients from its Su Zhou factory.

CEO Kees Uppenkamp said: “This strategic move allows us to increase customer satisfaction, flexibility and optimisation of our lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the complete supply chain. In this way we will meet our customer requirements any time, every time.”

Kees added that the move would “stimulate further growth of the future XPS group”.

Kees was appointed CEO in March, having worked for international companies for most of his career.
