According to KMP, cartridges that are in short supply, such as Brother, Samsung and HP are more likely to be infringed.
The company explained that a clue to spotting these cartridges is “primarily a price far below the usual market rate”.
It added: “Due to the quantities of toner fakes, especially of Asian origin, that are currently reaching the European market, we would like to advise our trade partners about the circumstance that these products are often disguised as recycled products and infringe patents.”
