Lexmark dominates low cost awards

Jul 22, 2010

The 2010 Aggregate Printer Purchase Initiative rated the printer with the lowest total cost of ownership, including the cost of consumables and replacement parts as well as the initial purchase costs.

Lexmark won the lowest cost award for all but one of ten different categories, losing one only to Xerox for the high-end black and white MFP category. However, Lexmark still achieved second place for this award.

Xerox and Dell also made several entries in different second places, with a single appearance by HP.

The award was run by the New York Office of General Services (OGS), and organization that aims to provide support for State and local governments, as well as public authorities and public and private agencies.
