American TonerServ reports record revenue for first half of 2010

Aug 23, 2010

The Californian compatible manufacturer revealed the growth in its second quarter financial report, which also covers the six-month period ending 30 June 2010.

Chuck Mache, CEO of American TonerServ, commented: “We are very pleased with ATS’ continued revenue growth in the first half of 2010, especially during these difficult economic times. We’re encouraged that all of our subsidiaries realized gains over 2009 during this period.”

However, gross profit stood at $4,111,435 for the six-month period, a decrease of three percent from 2009, which Mache puts down to the decision to begin selling OEM cartridges.

He explained that OEM cartridges had a lower margin than their compatible cartridge business, adding:

“We believe this will give us the best opportunity for future conversion to our compatible toner cartridges, which are less costly to our customers and historically have better gross margins for the company.”
