Sep 8, 2010

The PIXMA MG8150 and MG6150 feature Canon’s FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print head technology with six single ink tanks, including grey ink.

Both models are capable of printing a 10×15 centimetre borderless colour photo in approximately 20 seconds and have an ISO ESAT speed of approximately 12.5/9.3 images per minute (ipm) mono/colour.

PIXMA MG8150 can scan and reprint 35-millimetre film and slides. Both models also include two-way paper feeding, auto duplex and Direct Disc printing which enables users to print directly onto compatible DVD, CD and Blu-ray media.

They also feature Canon’s Intelligent Touch System, which offers users easy to follow operation through a light-guided touch panel. The Full HD Movie Print Function allows customers to print directly from their cameras.

The PIXMA MG8150 is available now, priced at £329.00/€369.00 RRP inc. VAT. The PIXMA MG6150 is also available now and is priced at £199.00/€219.00 RRP inc. VAT.

The PIXMA MG5250 and MG5150 are dubbed as the advanced photo all-in-one printers by Canon for customers wanting quick results.

They feature a six centimetre TFT display with an intuitive interface. A Quick Operation feature means that fewer steps are needed to reach frequently used features, and the start-to-print time is reduced.

PIXMA MG5150 can print a 10×15 centimetre borderless photo in approximately 39 seconds and has an ISO ESAT speed of approximately 9.7/6.1 ipm mono/colour. The PIXMA MG5250 does the same in approximately 20 seconds and has an ISO/ESAT speed of approximately 11.0/9.3 ipm mono/colour.

The models also use Canon’s FINE print head technology to produce class-leading minimum one-picolitre ink droplets and achieve maximum 9,600 dpi print resolution. They feature five single ink tanks, which are individually replaceable to minimize ink wastage and save money.

Auto Photo Fix II corrects common image faults when printing or scanning. The software automatically corrects and enhances under-exposed images and uses Multi-zone Exposure Correction to ensure the right level of exposure in each part of the image. ChromaLife 100+ keeps them looking better, for longer, and works by combining Canon’s FINE technology with Canon genuine photo paper and inks, to provide long-lasting, beautiful photos.

Both the PIXMA MG5250 and PIXMA MG5150 have auto-duplexing as standard and include two-way paper feeding, while the PIXMA MG5250 allows Direct Disc printing onto compatible DVD, CD and Blu-ray media.

The PIXMA MG5250 is available at £149.00/€169.00 RRP inc. VAT, and the PIXMA MG5150 is priced £99.00/€109.00 RRP inc. VAT.

The PIXMA MP495 and MP280 printers are aimed at first-time buyers, students and families.

In default mode, PIXMA MP280 can print photo-lab quality 10×15 centimetre borderless photos in approximately 43 seconds. For document printing, it boasts an ISO ESAT print speed of approximately 8.4ipm in mono and approximately 4.8ipm in colour.

The PIXMA MP495 prints a 10×15 centimetre borderless image in approximately 41 seconds, with an ISO ESAT print speed of approximately 8.8ipm in mono and approximately 5.0ipm in colour.

These printers also use Canon’s FINE cartridges, which are ideal for detailed photo printing thanks to a minimum two-picolitre droplet size. Combined with a maximum 4,800dpi print resolution, this enables both all-in-ones to deliver virtually grain-free photos. Common image faults such as under-exposure are also automatically corrected using integrated Auto-Photo Fix II technology.

Each printer features Canon’s new Solution Menu EX, which utilizes easily recognizable icons to make navigation and selecting functions as simple as possible. An additional desktop accessory can also be customised
