The OEM explained that the touch screens give users fast access to the functions, shortcuts and workflows used most often in their business.
The Lexmark X792 family of colour laser MFPs consists of six models that offer a 10.2-inch touch screen, enabling access to Print Preview features. These machines boast the fastest print and copy speeds in their class at 50 pages per minute (ppm).
Lexmark defines this class as A4 colour laser MFPs with US street prices between $3,000 to $5,000. The new models also feature a hole-punch finishing capability.
The C792 colour laser printers, the single function version of the X792 family, includes the only A4 (8.5 x11 inch) colour laser printer in its class, according to Lexmark. This family offers four printers.
For customers with A3 (11 x 17 inch)/ledger colour output requirements, Lexmark is expanding its line of A3 colour offerings.
The Lexmark X925de colour MFP is equipped with a 10.2-inch touch screen, and the Lexmark C925de colour printer can handle banner-sized media (11.7 x 48 inch), with a 4.3-inch touch screen.
Lexmark has also introduced new device management software for SMBs to help reduce costs and downtime.
Markvision Enterprise is a web-based tool built on a database-driven foundation that gives IT professionals the ability to proactively track and monitor a portfolio of devices.
With this tool, Lexmark says a fleet of up to 20,000-networked printers and MFPs, regardless of the manufacturer, can be centrally managed throughout their full lifecycle.
