The refill franchisor said that it encourages consumers, schools and businesses to refill ink and toner cartridges, rather than discarding empty cartridges and buying new, brand name cartridges.
It added: “This environmentally sound option results in both cost savings to their customers and waste reduction in local landfills.”
Tom Fricke, CEO at Cartridge World, said: “With more than 350 million ink cartridges discarded in North American landfills each year, the impact that refilling these cartridges can have is huge.
“Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of recycling in general, and the potential positive impact that refilling ink and toner cartridges specifically can have on our local and national environment.”
