Nov 19, 2010

The company had previously produced the BioBlack UT19H1 toner, which was the its first certified bio-toner. The new product, called BioBlack UT19H2, has now received the same level of recognition and certification under the Vincotte system.

Vincotte is an international certification service that inspects products from a series of industries and provices certification for environmental work and health and safety. Delacamp’s first BioBlack toner was certified in October 2010 and was reported by The Recycler here.

Mitsubishi Kagaku Imaging Corporation (MKIC) manufactures BioBlack for Delacamp, and has a distribution contract with Delacamp that covers the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets.

Volkier Kappius, COO of Delacamp, said: “We do not stop halfway. Together with polymerised toners, bio-based toners are the future of toner technology.

“With our first offering, BioBlack UT19H1, being the first certified bio-based toner, we have now received the official ‘ok biobased’ certification for the next toner in line, BioBlack UT19H2.

“The BioBlack toners are a milestone in enabling a significant reduction of petroleum consumption and CO2 emissions in our industry.”
