Ricoh expands range of recycled MFDs

Nov 24, 2010

The company says the expansion is part of its “Triple Bottom Line” business philosophy, covering people, planet and profit.

It explains: “each Ricoh product begins and ends in recycling and the reuse of materials, taking the ‘cradle to cradle’ approach in line with the aim for a totally sustainable corporation.”

The OEM adds that “all recycled devices are put through stringent quality control checks and are shipped under the same warranty conditions as Ricoh’s new products so customers have no need to worry about quality and reliability”.

The company also states that all products in its recycled range are manufactured according to BS 8887.2, a remanufacturing criteria recently determined by British Standards at Ricoh UK’s manufacturing plant in Telford, Shropshire.

All devices come with fully configured paper trays and offer professional finishing.

Product Manager Steve Mulroy said: “Our Eco-Line range of products is part of Ricoh’s global sustainability strategy that helps customers reduce their impact on the environment.”

He added, “In the last twelve months, we have seen significant demand from public sector account customers who value the environmental credentials of this range of products.”
