The app is available now as a free download from iTunes, and coincides with new research from the company that shows most consumers are more concerned with finding a reliable service than finding the best price.
Mobile Phone Recycling said that many companies just promoted their prices, but 68 percent of customers would be willing to take a lower price in return for a guarantee of quality and reliability.
Charlie Lavender, Founder of Mobile Phone Recycling, said: ““If you are sending something as valuable as an iPhone for recycling it’s safe to assume that you’d want guaranteed payment of the agreed amount – within the agreed timeframe.
“It can be tempting to simply go for any company offering the most cash, but consumers need to consider the potential risk when doing so, and it should be the duty of comparison sites to make sure their customers are not exposed to these poor performing websites. We pride ourselves on only offering results from those companies that we feel offer the highest levels of customer care, a reliable service and the best prices around.”
The company launched two years ago and says it was the first to offer a comprehensive real time search and comparison service for the UK’s leading phone recycling companies.
It also plans to release the new iPhone app on other platforms, such as Android, BlackBerry, and Windows.
