SoyPrint secures licensees for Canada and Brazil

Dec 7, 2010

Re-Newyt Recycling Technologies of Montreal has been selected to represent SoyPrint exclusively in Canada.  Re-Newyt will handle all sales, including through dealers, in all provinces when the new toner goes into production after the holidays.

“We’re poised to take the SoyPrint name from coast to coast with our Canadian-made cartridges and look forward to adding Lexmark to the offering when that toner is added to the line in the first quarter of 2011”, reports Michael Leiberman of Re-Newyt.

Soyprint Brasil, a new division CisaCorp in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been chosen to handle the SoyPrint brand of more than two dozen models for that country. Mario Hashiba of Soyprint Brasil is excited about starting off the new year with the new toner. “Brazil is becoming increasingly environmentally minded. We had great encouragement from many sectors while we prepared our business plan”, he said.

Rick Greenlaw of SoyPrint explained these two companies will have sole control of the SoyPrint name and raw material in their respective countries.  “Along with our completion of licensing in Europe, we have now covered the most sensitive regions for ‘green’ printing”, Greenlaw said.  Greenlaw reported that SoyPrint is discussing how best to cover Africa, The Middle East, Australia and the Pacific Rim with key players in those regions during December and January.  He said SoyPrint will continue to be sold in the US market as a finished good.

The company claims to have the world’s largest line of soy based toner cartridges and Greenlaw expects the total model offering to more than double by this time next year and to cover 4-5 brands.  “We have several formulas, including one for soy colour, in the lab”, Greenlaw reported.
