The store was officially opened on Wednesday 8 December, with the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce hosting a celebratory opening event. The retailer added to the party atmosphere with a prize draw for a Brother HL-2140 laser printer, as well as refill offers of $3 off ink cartridges and $10 off toner cartridges.
Owner and operator James Kim said “Cartridge World Downtown San Diego carries ink for all major cartridge brands in stock so there is no need to wait. We don’t simply ‘drill & fill’ like other refillers”.
“Downtown San Diego businesses should not pay more to print, and while they are saving money, they are also helping to preserve the environment by reducing the number of cartridges being discarded into our landfills,” he added.
The store will offer free pick up and delivery to businesses in downtown San Diego, and is also working to establish service arrangements with local companies.
The Cartridge World franchise has over 1700 stores worldwide, with over 650 of these in the United States alone.
