Memjet to unveil printer technology at CES 2011

Dec 22, 2010

The Consumer Electronics Shows (CES) showcases products from across the consumer technology industry, with the annual show taking place next January in Las Vegas at the Convention Centre.

Memjet’s colour printing technology was originally unveiled by founder Kia Silverbrook at the Global Ink Jet Printing Conference in Prague in 2007. The technology is said to print full colour images at 60 pages per minute (ppm), which is many times the inkjet industry standard.

The technology, which the company says will be a fraction of the price of high-speed colour laser devices, was delayed a number of times in the past few years until last November, when it was finally launched.

Memjet stated: “This is the first time anywhere you can see Memjet technologies for Home & Office, Labels, Wide Format and Photo Retail in one place.

“Memjet is on pace to be awarded more printing technology patents this year than any other printer manufacturer. It takes a lot to change status quo and revolutionize an industry.”

Memjet’s CES Sky Suite will be situated in the Aria hotel in Las Vegas, and visitors to CES can find out more by visiting their website.
