The new facility produces a range of chips, including Sepom’s new line, which is compatible with Samsung copiers. Sepom told The Recycler that they have been having problems recently with chip production as Samsung have been periodically releasing firmware update for their printers and copiers.
However, Sepom is adamant that it will keep pace with the OEM’s anti-remanufacturing methods.
The new line of chips include, MLT-D105(SF650P/1910/1900/2580/SCX4600), MLT-D108(ml-1640/2240) and MLT-D209(scx-4824).
