Epson launches five new LED printers

Aug 19, 2011

Epson has launched five new printers using LED technology in the North American market.

The AcuLaser C1700 and CX17NF are both colour machines, while the M1400, MX14 and MX14NF are all monochrome models.

LED printers use light-emitting diodes as the lightsource for the printing process, which is often thought to be more reliable than the traditional laser printer method, due to it using fewer moving parts.

Epson’s latest lineup offers print speeds of up to 24ppm in monochrome at 1200 x 1200 dpi. The colour printers up the quality even further to 1200 x 2400 dpi, and are capable of printing 12 ppm in full colour.

Full specs of all machines can be found here.
