Rapid Refill announces success at franchise conference

Aug 22, 2011

Rapid Refill continues to have a strong outlook on its future in the industry after its recent fourth annual franchisee conference.

Franchisees from around the country gathered in Minneapolis, Minnesota from 28-30 July to discuss the business and the industry and how to drive growth and profit over the next year.

Among other high points of the meeting, the franchise revealed same store sales growth of eight percent. By contrast, the franchise noted that “big box” office supplies rivals achieved much smaller growth, with even market leader Staples seeing same store growth of only two percent.

Companies leaders father and son Roger and Jason Block were on hand to discuss the franchise’s future plans.

President Jason Block said: “Our owners are our strength. We are local and we know our customers in a way that big box stores never can.  We can be far more nimble and agile.  We can meet our customers when they are ready to buy – not just when we are ready to sell.  And we can do it in a way that builds trust and loyalty throughout the community.

“We are harnessing the best of technology and the best of local small business to build the kind of company that people want to own and customers want to frequent.”

The conference also saw the announcement of a new story in Tampa, Florida and the annual Cascades Award for the Corvallis, Oregon store for their contribution to their local school district.
