SoyPrint Inc. has announced the assignment of SymbioPrint as the exclusive licensee for the company’s soy-based SoyPrint toner in Russia and the Middle East.
SymbioPrint already supplies Western Europe, while IMG Solutions of Hungary covers Eastern Europe. As The Recycler reported, SymbioPrint also began distributing in the US from California last month.
Rick Greenlaw, Vice President of SoyPrint explains: “It is a natural, progressive addition to SymbioPrint’s territory that we add these regions, especially in view of how effective SymbioPrint has been in generating interest in Europe.”
SoyPrint offers laser printer cartridges using toner powder derived from soybeans, and states that the product matches OEM quality as well as being more environmental.
The company has also suggested progress in the development of a soy-based inkjet for wide format solvent printing and a soy toner compatible with Lexmark printers.
