Van Klaveren CCC first entered the aftermarket industry 18 years ago today, the company is proud to announce.
“Eighteen years is a great achievement, especially in this day and age,” said Managing Director Gerhard van Klaveren. “I am proud of the 45 employees and the customer base of the Van Klaveren companies.”
He continued: “On the 15th of September 1993, I started refilling toner cartridges. In those days, we had one of the first interviews in The Recycler. At the time, we produced CX and EPS cartridges. In 2005, we sold our production plant in Bosnia and focused solely on the collection of empty cartridges and old mobile telephones.”
The company has celebrated many milestones over the years, including collecting more than 3.1 million empty cartridges in 2010. Van Klaveren has also developed a strong charity connection, and is linked with 14 charities including the World Wildlife Fun and AAP Foundation. Alongside these it hosts its own trademarked Eeko and Total-Collect.
2010 was an especially busy year for the company, as it also saw the promotion of company veterans Lennart Zernitz and Arjan Oonk to Commercial Manager and Financial Manger. The entire company was also ISO certified by the end of the year.
Zernitz added: “And let’s not forget the relocation to our new building, which houses the sales and management departments, as well as warehousing, marketing, finance, and customer support.”
Visitors to the Focus on Europe conference can congratulate Gerhard van Klaveren in person, as he will be attending the show as it opens in London today.
The company is planning to celebrate the milestone anniversary on Monday.
