Rapid Refill launches Cartridges For A Cause to support troops

Oct 5, 2011

Rapid Refill has begun its Cartridges For A Cause drive this week, supporting the nationwide Operation Paperback charity operation to provide “recycled reading” for troops.

The American aftermarket company will collect “gently used” books through stores and volunteers, which will be sent out to US troops currently serving overseas. The Cartridges For A Cause scheme will help promote the drive by offering discounts to anyone who hands in a book.

“Through our partnership with Operation Paperback we are thrilled to invite our local communities to assist with building libraries filled with great material for our troops,” said Rapid Refill President, Jason Block.

“We know, sometimes the only great escape we find is in a good book. This is a meaningful way to recycle and an easy way to make an impact in our communities, at home and abroad”

Customers handing in a used book can receive in-store discounts from Rapid Refill, with $3 off inkjets off $5 off toners with each donation.

The franchise will be running the drive until 15 November, covering both Veterans Day and America Recycles Day.
