MBP files with French courts

Oct 12, 2011

Business continues as normal as the company resolves financial issues.

Veteran French remanufacturer MBP filed with the French Tribunal du Commerce on 14 September 2011.

It is believed the Nantes-based company is has filed for financial protection while it resolves financial issues. The system works in a similar way to the more well known Chapter 11 section of the United States Bankruptcy Code, and enables a company to continue business while dealing with debtor and creditor issues. MBP continues to operate as normal.

MBP is one the longest running companies in the aftermarket, having celebrated its 20th anniversary last year.

The company also acquired Spanish remanufacturer GTA Sistemas last year, and more recently partnered with Chinese aftermarket company Ninestar.
