Students benefit from local refill aid.

Refill company Cartridge World are courting the studentdemographic in Ohio State University as they and local university technologystore WiredOut offer student discounts on refills, reports student website The Lantern.

WiredOut compared printing costs with an HP Deskjet 3054 and OSU library printing on their website. A 25 page article printed through the Deskjet will cost approximately $4 (€2.80) to print in black ink and $4.75 (€3.30) in colour. Printing through the university service will cost the same article $2.25 in black ink (€1.60) and $6.25 (€4.40) in colour.

Ben Schwartzwalder, Store Manager, Cartridge World, commented: “Normal turn-around for HP is fairly quick. We usually have [HP cartridges] around already,” adding that by having already-produced cartridges they are capable of exchanging them for the used empty cartridges.

Cartridge World also facilitate Epson, Canon, Lexmark and Dell refills, among others.
