Paperworld and Remanexpo announce success around the globe

Messe Frankfurt announced a successful year for its trade shows around the world at a press event in London yesterday.

The company is one of the world’s largest exhibition organizers and hosts Paperworld, Christmasworld and Creativeworld.

Paperworld in Frankfurt attracted 1,858 exhibitors from 70 countries, in 2011, along with 51,038 visitors. Michael Reichhold, Director of Paperworld and Creativeworld said that numbers had increased and were already set to be higher for 2012.

“The markets have been very nervous, and we’ve always served as a mirror to the markets,” he said. “The fact that we’re seeing growth reflects the returning confidence of many companies.”

Reichold also praised Remanexpo’s part in the show. Paperworld partnered with the event three years ago, before deciding to commit to buying the event this year.

“Although we attract very large companies, our shows have always been well suited for small and medium businesses,” Reichold said. “The Remanexpo show is a good example of this.

“It’s really a perfect fit for Paperworld and ties in very well, but it’s also an industry made up of a lot of small independent businesses. It also has the best connections to the aftermarket industry around
the world.”

As well as its flagship show in Frankfurt, Reichold said that both Paperworld and Remanexpo had seen strong response at the Shanghai show, as well as from the inaugural show in Dubai. Paperworld’s first show in Moscow was also successful, and will be joined by Remanexpo next year.

Sister shows Christmasworld and Creativeworld also saw strong years. Eva Olbrich, who took over as Director of Christmasworld this year, said the show had attracted 31,493 visitors. Reichold said that there was a 24 percent crossover rate of visitors between the three shows.
