LASER SHOT LBP7680Cx and imageCLASS MF5980dw aimed at SMBs.
Canon Australia has announced the release of two new desktop laser devices set to bolster the Workhorse Plus range, targeted towards SMBs and workshops within larger businesses.
The LASER SHOT LBP7680Cx utilises Canon’s Multifunction Embedded Application Platform (MEAP) environment, which allows it to be integrated with MEAP applications including the management platform uniFLOW.
The device also employs the On-Demand Fixing System, providing stand-by power consumption of less than 23 watts on average.
The imageCLASS MF5980dw multi-function device (MFD) also boasts low power consumption, with sleep mode consuming only 2.3 watts. It is also the first imageCLASS model with Wi-Fi connectivity and has a print speed of 33 pages per minute.
Jeff Peake, Product Manager, Canon Australia, commented: “Technology will be at the heart of business change over the next 10 years. It’s imperative that Canon’s customers have access to features and technologies that allow them to keep pace with the way their businesses are changing, particularly in light of the widespread phenomenon of technology
consumerisation in the workplace.
“Every business strives to increase productivity, as it seeks to do more with less. If you don’t embrace change or adopt new technologies to enable new ways of working, then you’ll never know if you could increase your productivity.”
Both printers are currently available.
