Company yet to confirm amount of layoffs or current workforce remaining.
A company official has confirmed layoffs at Ricoh’s Boulder InfoPrint Solutions facility, Colorado, reports Daily Camera, although InfoPrint spokesman Peter Lazaroff declined to disclose a number, or provide a current headcount at the operations.
InfoPrint had previously hired 700 people by the end of July, with a total of 725 local employees at the facilities.
InfoPrint is yet to file a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notice with the Colorado Department of Labor, required under the federal WARN Act when employers report mass layoffs to state labor departments.
Events to trigger a notice include a mass layoff of 500 or more people in a 30-day period, a mass layoff of 50 to 499 employees if the amount of affected employees represent 33 percent of the active workforce and if the employment loss of two or more groups of workers reaches a WARN “threshold” level in a 90-day period.
