The two companies’ results follow the lowest relative performance in computer hardware industry.
Financial News Network has compiled a list of the five lowest relative performance in the computer hardware industry, judged on the companies’ stock exchange performance on 31 October and predictions of underperformance compared to competitors.
Hewlett-Packard and Dell round up the list in first and fourth place respectively. HP stocks fells the most, at 4.76 percent. Dell follows with a decline of 3.07 percent. Also included are NCR, Silicon Graphics and Avid Technology.
Dell has yet to reveal its Q3 performance comparisons, whilst HP has been undergoing a series of changes starting with the mooted sale of its PC division a few months ago, and concluding with the recent revelation that new CEO Meg Whitman would prevent the sale of the valued subsection of its business.
