Target of £60,000 reached two months ahead of schedule.

UK recycling company The Recycling Factory has announced reaching its 2011 fundraising target of £60,000 ($96,426/€70,016) for the animal welfare charity Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA).

The Recycling Factory and RSPCA have partnered since 2005, and The Recycling Factory have raised over £350,000 ($562,486/€408,427) since.

Donna Wingfield, Business Development Manager for The Recycling Factory, commented: “To have reached our 2011 target two months earlier than anticipated is testament to the dedication of the RSPCA supporters. Images of animals like Mr Burns demonstrated how imperative it is to support the work of the RSPCA who continually strive to end animal cruelty.”

Andrew Lyons, Corporate Partnerships Office, RSPCA, added: “2011 has been a fantastic year raising money through our partnership with TRF. Having reached our target of £60,000 is a great achievement so thank you to everyone who has sent in their mobiles and inkjets for recycling. We hope with everyone’s continued support and generosity we can achieve our goal of £75,000 ($120,532/€87,520) in 2012, and help stop cruelty to animals.”

The Recycling Factory also continues to work with other UK charities including National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
