Messe Frankfurt Shanghai and Li-Ning Co Ltd. discuss updated attitudes towards office supplies and printing.
Chinese sports-clothing brand Li-Ning Co Ltd. has discussed the rising trend of sustainable office outlook, in an article published by China Daily.
IT Time magazine published a survey detailing how the MFP is increasingly becoming “the mainstream product for business use”, with an IDC survey revealing Q3 2012 shipments of MFPs increasing against a decline of shipments for printers.
Zhang Xiaoyan, Director, Corporate Affairs Department, Li-Ning Co Ltd. commented how the company is “looking into every detail, we have been exploring ways to create a green office and reduce energy waste”, stating that companies are already experiencing changes to environmental approaches.
“As good corporate citizens, companies should behave in a socially responsible way. A focus on sustainable development has become the strategic choice for many companies because of a rise in expectations from consumers.”
Evan Sha, Deputy General Manager, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai), added: “The office products and solutions industry has developed dramatically over the past two decades. It is closely related to the fast development of information, telecommunications and software technology.
“We have found that in the most active Asian markets, efficient and economic office work have been given a higher priority by company managers and government bodies”.
China Daily speculates that the “electronic office” will result in increased paper saving, with an estimated saving of “at least 1 million tons of paper” should every business in China adopt updated electronic office procedures, and a reduction of more than 10 million tones of greenhouse gases.
