Canon celebrates award-winning year

Company placed in top 50 of Best Global Brands for 2011 by Interbrand, and top five in 2011 World’s Most Admired Companies list in Fortune Magazine.

Canon celebrated a successful 2011, citing its “[pride in marking] 2011 as another award-winning year”, with accolades from publications and consumer groups for printer, scanner and camera products including Fortune Magazine, and Interbrand, a brand consultancy.

Canon imagePROGRAF, imageRUNNER, SELPHY AND imageCLASS printer lines received awards, with the Canon PIXMA MX882 Wireless Inkjet Office All-in-One named Editor’s Choice for MFPs by PCMag.com, and the PIXMA MG8220 named in the 100 Best Products of 2011 by PC World.

Canon was also acknowledged with the 2011 Energy Star Award for Excellence in Energy Efficient Product Deisgn with the imageRUNNER ADVANCE series, recognizing “reduc[ed] power consumption and carbon emissions”.
