New devices to feature mobile and wireless printing capabilities.
Samsung UK has announced the release of three new printers in the ML-2160 and ML-2165 compact printer series, intended to provide users with “maximised functionality”, with the ML-2165W to include mobile and wireless printing features.
Released in response to the proliferation of mobile devices including smartphones, notebook PCs and tablets, the ML-2165W is compatible with the Samsung MobilePrint app. Samsung states “while conventional PIN methods require a 10-step set up procedure on a wireless network, Samsung’s one-touch wireless feature enables users to be connected with the printer […] in just two minutes”.
The ML-2160 and ML-2165 series include Samsung’s Easy Printer Manager, enabling real-time monitoring of printer usage, and employs “an integrated single management program”, allowing all printers to be monitored on a single screen and allows the device to be controlled remotely.
The ML-2160/2165 will retail at £79.99 ($109.89/ €82.10), while the ML-2165W will be available from £99.99 ($156.99/ €117.29). All three printers are due for release in February 2012, with further information forthcoming closer to date of release.
