New-look website to prioritise printer comparisons to aid visitors search though 1,500 listed laser printers.
In an effort to simplify listed products online, printer supplies retailer Laser Printer Center has revamped their website, “com[ing] up with an alternative that isn’t as common in the laser printer industry” to prioritise product comparisons.
The retailer stipulates the difficulty in managing a database that contains over 1,500 entries “and try and make it so the average consumer could make sense of the details” and created a system that can compare across multiple brands, several technologies, and endless price points against listing products brand by brand “as other laser printer sites do”.
Laser Printer Center’s Jesse Harwell commented: “Our biggest issue in creating a useful tool to the consumer was to find that fine balance between giving enough information and too much information. We feel that our site’s new tool can help a consumer get the product details they need, while the system will help determine long term costs.”
