Internet Ink has reported on a proposal made to the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, in
Pittsburgh, to enter into an MPS agreement with ComDoc, a local imaging solutions provider.

The arrangement with ComDoc is also expected to yield equipment better able to meet volume needs. Further additions include a mono printer/ copier and equipment to enable high-resolution image scanning.

The district’s current printing/copying costs estimated at approximately $376,200 (€286,530) per year.

Winner expects the arrangement to save up to $7,000 (€5,332) in monthly printing costs, with plans to readdress the board in January 2012. The board is expected to reach a decision shortly after. If successful, the partnership is due to start on 1 April 2012.
