Jul 17, 2012

Canon imagePROGRAF large-format printers available from late-July.

In order to cater for print jobs larger than A3 in size, the two printers released by the OEM offer output of up to 36 inches wide at a maximum of 2400x1200dpi, reports ITWire.

The iPF765 and iPF760 are designed for use in the architecture, engineering, construction and retail sectors including CAD, GIS and AEC, as well as for general office use. They feature a “horizontal stacking basket” to keep A1 printed documents flat, access control, accounting functions to estimate and control the costs of printing and “front loading of media”, giving users the option to install the printer against a wall.

The iPF765 also features a 250GB hard drive to support users printing large images and those who share the printer with multiple users.

James Casey, Sales and Marketing Manager for large-format printers at Canon Australia commented: “The update to the imagePROGRAF printers represents Canon’s dedication to companies in the large format printing market.

“Canon has taken an award-winning solution in the imagePROGRAF series and listened to our customers on how we could improve it. With the flatbed stacking we have now enhanced the user’s productivity and efficiency making these devices a natural fit to meet customer demands.”

The cost of the printers has not yet been announced.
